Jenny Lund is a San Francisco Bay Area native and a former co-owner of Marquee Salon in Oakland, CA. She began doing hair as a teenager by experimenting on willing friends in her family's basement. After pursuing a career in fashion design, Jenny returned to her first love, hair styling. Once finishing cosmetology school, she then completed an intensive apprenticeship at Festoon Salon in San Francisco and Berkeley, where she focused on both classic and creative hair cutting and color techniques.

She has since taken many advanced education courses with Bumble and Bumble, Vidal Sassoon, L'Oreal Professional, Wella, Pony Salon, Shu Uemura, The Left Brain Group, and Tony and Guy. Jenny is also certified in the Mizani ‘Air Cut’ technique.

Her favorite part of the salon experience is the collaboration that occurs between herself and her clients. “I love seeing what inspires my clients and then turning that idea into something both beautiful and achievable," Jenny says.

When not at the salon, you can find Jenny walking her high-maintenance terrier, trying to decide what's for lunch, or indulging in the wealth of art and music here in the Classic City.
